Being able to support people who have important messages onto the big stage or the big screen is why I get up in the morning. Teaching people how to communicate with dignity and truth is how I can leave a legacy and be significant in the world. I want to leave the world a better place.
More than 100 miles
I generally get paid for speaking but make exceptions
When my friend asked me to direct her TED Talk, I thought it would be fun, just like a one woman show. It was incredible to be able to witness someone who cares so much about impacting the world. She planted the seed that I should "do" this. So I started doing it. I began to attract speakers and had no place to put them, so what's the best stage for speakers? TEDx. I got my license, became the executive producer of TEDxLincolnSquare. I have since put over 50 speakers onto more than 15 TEDx stages. And now I am the executive producer of my own platform The Big Talk Live.
I moved to New York City to pursue a career in dance. I toured all over the world for two decades, worked with some of the greats in the modern dance world, including Barishnikov. I organically moved into choreography, where my first gig was choreographing a feature film starring James Gandolfini, Christopher Walken, Kate Winslet, and Susan Sarandon. From there I moved into directing and writing and filmmaking. And now coaching speakers. I make the world a better place by putting people with important messages onto the big stage or the big screen.
