Best Story

I often tell the story of my lowest point, when I was completely spent emotionally and spiritually, and the only relationships I frequently "needed" something from me. One day I was driving my kids home from school, once we dropped of the carpool they started bickering in the back. I share how I pulled the car over and blew up at my kids with profanity. I said some terrible things. All my inner garbage had just come out all over the two people I care about the most, the two people I was living for.

I was embarrassed, cried, and eventually calmed down and apologized, but that was the moment I knew something had to change.

I didn’t realize it at the time, but over the past decade or so, I had given away and let go of everything that brought me joy outside of my family unit, and I didn’t have anyone else in my life who really knew ME. I was lost, no longer taking care of my own mind, body and spirit.

Origin Story

When I became a mother, I let myself go. No I don't mean the weight gain, makeup-free, yoga pants 7 days a week.... although that also happened. Over a 15-year period I poured myself into my roles as wife, mother and professional and I "let go" of my own interests, activities, friendships, and myself, everything that was unique to me. One day I realized I didn't recognize myself anymore. Who was I?

Over the next few years, I took a deep dive into self-discovery and found myself again as I reconnected to my passions, purpose and people. I not only found myself, I discovered many more untapped passions. It led me to write my first book, "Lady and the Tribe, How to Create Empowering Friendship Circles" and from there I continue to create the life of my dreams as an author, midlife women's coach, retreat leader and host of the Find Your Lady Tribe Podcast.
