Biography

My name is Noelle Lambert, i am an above knee amputee. I lost my leg when I was 19 years old from a moped accident. I was the first above knee amputee to play division 1 lacrosse. I am now a 2x Paralympian American record holder. I founded the Born to Run Foundation which is a nonprofit that focuses on donating specialized prosthetics to amputees in need. I was the first above knee amputee to ever be on the reality television show ‘Survivor’ competing on season 43.

Passion

Losing my leg at 19 years old, my life flipped upside down. I told myself to never let my accident dictate the rest of my life and promised to always live my life to the fullest while also giving back. I started The Born to Run Foundation because I wanted to spread a message out to the world that if I can go through my accident and still live the life that I want then 100% so can anyone else.

Best Story

I grew up being an athlete. I received a division I scholarship to play at UMass Lowell. The summer following my freshman year I was involved in a moped accident that caused me to lose my left leg above the knee. After my accident, I was determined to get back on the field, despite a lot of people telling me that it would be impossible to do so. 18 months after my accident, I returned to the lacrosse field, scoring a goal in my first game back. Seeing the ball go in the back of the net I sprinted to my teammates and embraced them crying because I knew I had reached my dream.

Origin Story

Graduating college in 2019, I decided not to hang up my athletic career just yet and pursued a sport I’d never competed for in my entire life, track and field. I quickly qualified to be apart of the U.S. Para track and field National team and broke the American record in the 100 meter and the long jump. I’ve competed in both the Tokyo and Paris Paralympic Games with my eyes set on Los Angelos Paralympic Games in 2028.
