Christi Stafford is the CEO of Automation on a Mission, a company dedicated to helping small businesses thrive by simplifying sales and marketing automation. Her journey has been shaped by resilience, creativity, and a deep commitment to empowering others.
As a child diagnosed with ADHD and learning disabilities, Christi was told she wouldn’t succeed in a traditional learning environment. But with the support of resource teachers and a determination to find her own way, she created systems that allowed her to thrive—skills she still uses and shares with others today.
In 2014, Christi founded her business with a mission to make entrepreneurship more accessible and sustainable for small business owners. Nearly 11 years later, Automation on a Mission has grown into a trusted partner for hundreds of clients, helping them generate millions in revenue while saving thousands of hours with streamlined systems and automations. Remaining in business for over a decade—through evolving technologies, changing markets, and economic shifts—is a testament to Christi’s adaptability, leadership, and commitment to delivering value.
Before starting her business, Christi spent more than 25 years in nonprofit leadership, building youth programs and launching impactful initiatives. One of her proudest achievements is Lucky Bikes Recyclery, a social enterprise she created to provide sustainable funding, essential services, and vocational training for underserved communities. More than a decade later, the bike shop is still thriving, a reflection of Christi’s vision and ability to create lasting impact.
When her daughter graduated from high school, Christi and her partner embraced a new chapter—building a home out of a school bus and traveling the U.S. Their adventures included homesteading and raising animals, experiences that reflect Christi’s courage to explore new paths, adapt, and continuously learn—values she brings to her work with entrepreneurs.
Through Automation on a Mission, Christi combines her passion for problem-solving with her deep understanding of systems to empower small business owners. Her mission is to make entrepreneurship less overwhelming, more rewarding, and truly attainable for those who dare to dream.
What truly puts a smile on Christi Stafford’s face is teaching—especially about creating the perfect customer journey. She lights up when helping entrepreneurs identify missed opportunities in how they generate leads, close sales, and nurture clients. Christi thrives on breaking down complex strategies into manageable steps that entrepreneurs can implement confidently. By incorporating automation, she enables her clients to focus on what they love while their systems handle the heavy lifting. Watching those "aha" moments when clients realize the potential of a streamlined, effective customer journey is what drives her every day.
One of Christi’s favorite client stories is about Jenna, a health coach facing the possibility of giving up her dream of entrepreneurship due to financial uncertainty. Christi guided Jenna through building her perfect customer journey, streamlining her systems, and implementing automation. Within just 90 days, Jenna reduced her marketing expenses, increased her referrals, and launched a new group program. With clarity about her business and confidence in her systems, Jenna transformed her situation, turning a potential setback into a thriving future.
Another memorable moment was with Mary, a client who initially wanted to cancel due to feeling overwhelmed by technology. Christi worked closely with Mary, helping her gain confidence and encouraging her to ask questions in group trainings. Mary not only overcame her fears but also became a role model for others, showing how courage and persistence can open doors to growth. These moments reaffirm Christi’s belief in the power of connection, community, and the right tools to make a lasting difference.
Christi Stafford’s journey to founding Automation on a Mission began with a desire to create something meaningful and sustainable. After spending over 25 years in nonprofit leadership, including launching a social enterprise that continues to thrive today, Christi was ready to apply her skills to a new challenge. Inspired by her graduate studies in Organizational Leadership, she initially thought she’d focus on consulting and coaching businesses around systems and processes. However, a deeper curiosity drew her toward automation and understanding what drives people to make decisions—a spark that would ultimately shape her company.
The true "aha" moment came when Christi recognized the gap small business owners faced: technology that was either too expensive, too complex, or both. Having experienced these challenges firsthand, she saw an opportunity to provide a solution that combined all the tools, strategy, and support a small business needs to succeed. Her idea evolved into Automation on a Mission, a program that simplifies entrepreneurship with an all-in-one system that not only works but empowers.
The name itself reflects both the heart of the program and Christi’s commitment to helping small businesses thrive. Nearly 11 years later, her company continues to serve entrepreneurs across diverse industries, offering solutions that reduce overwhelm and make growth attainable. From struggling startups to seasoned business owners, Christi’s mission remains clear: to help others build sustainable success through the power of automation.
