Dr. Teri Rouse, Ed.D, or Dr. Teri to friends, family, students, and clients, has a mission to empower parents to overcome chaos and restore peace in their homes through a variety of techniques and strategies. Through her own life experiences, a love of learning, and a passion for helping families, she has dedicated her career to making a positive impact on children, parents, and educators.
Working with students and private clients from diverse cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds, she develops and implements customized positive behavior interventions.Taking the best of the best strategies and techniques, she created the REAL Peaceful Parenting framework. She also has a program for young adults called Braver Than You Believe to guide them to overcome fear and worry, gain confidence, and discover their inner strength.
Dr. Teri has spent more than thirty years in classrooms as a special education teacher, behavior and early interventionist, autism specialist, and applied behavior analyst, in addition to founding and serving as the managing director of KIDS:

Interventions & Direct Services. Additionally, for seventeen years, Dr. Teri has taught teachers how to teach at Chestnut Hill College, Widener University, and Penn State.
An educational coach and consultant and international speaker, she travels the globe to give presentations at conferences for teachers, school administrators, organizations, and conventions. She is involved with the Division of International Special Education and Services, the Council for Exceptional Children (CEC), Autism Speaks, Lily’s Hope Foundation, and Uthando, a South African nonprofit tourism and community development initiative.
Dr. Teri has authored multiple bestselling books and is a member of the National Academy of Best-Selling Authors® and a recipient of the Quilly® Award for Success with Jack Canfield and Never Give Up with Dick Vitale. Inspired by decades of working with children, she authored Julian’s Gift, a picture book that tells the story of one young boy in her class. In addition, Dr. Teri created the Snuggle Bunny Book ClubTM, a subscription service that enables families to bond over hand-picked, engaging books delivered weekly.
