Biography

As the owner of Fisher Creative Marketing and a StoryBrand Certified Guide, I've helped dozens of organizations clarify their marketing message and then build out the rest of their marketing essentials checklist: a website that converts visitors into buyers, lead generation tools to grow their email list, and email campaigns to drive sales and leads.

A long-time professional writer and former full-time journalist, I believe in the power of story to inform and engage. I've worked with clients around the globe and in a variety of industries. After living and working in Charleston, South Carolina, for 21 years, my family and I relocated to Asheville, North Carolina, in 2021.

Passion

Talking about the StoryBrand framework as well as marketing essentials is a true treat. Many people get overwhelmed by marketing. They can go in a million different directions so it's easy to waste time, money and energy. When we build a solid foundation of messaging and marketing essentials, they have everything they need for success.

Best Story

I love sharing examples of how the StoryBrand Marketing Framework can transform a business. When businesses have a clear brand message, they truly breathe a sigh of relief. And, their business grows! For example, I worked with an education software company to streamline their website. We shifted the messaging to focus on the problem this company solves for its clients and, as a result, business skyrocketed. They normally acquire 30 new school district clients a year. After we made the website changes, they landed 42 new customers in one quarter.

Origin Story

I’ve been drawn to stories since I was a child. First, reading them [#librarylover] and then telling others’ stories as a newspaper reporter for more than a decade. Today, I’m still telling stories. As a marketing professional, I help businesses clarify their brand message and then invite their customers into a story via their website, emails or social media. When my work with an organization helps it reach more people and grow, it’s thrilling. It’s the same excitement I felt seeing my byline on the front page. Bringing stories to life whether through a print publication, a company website, a blog post or email campaign drives the why behind my business. It’s what has kept me going as an entrepreneur for 12 years. Because we all know owning a business is full of ups and downs, times of feast or famine, happy days and hard days. My own story as an entrepreneur is what makes me so passionate to help other businesses bring their stories to life.
