More than 100 miles
I generally get paid for speaking but make exceptions
With Joy First Foundation - the best moments are when people react with testimonials, like, "I didn't know I needed this!" or "I felt so good after your session!", "I don't want it to end!"
The divisions happening in and around the USA, and COVID combined, made this clown a bit upset. She decided that she was going to dedicate her life to improving the lives of random strangers, one person at a time. She started by simply saying "Thank you" to the folks that helped us get through COVID, and in many ways put themselves at risk. Groups like, grocery workers, senior care workers, police, fire, and first responders, teachers, and nurses were the first to receive joyful moments. They cried, they smiled and laughed, and burst with glee, and then they said, "everyone needs this," which then made this clown happy and sad at the same time, as she knew her purpose was clear.
For 18 months, so far, living in a van, traveling 15000 miles across the USA and many zoom hours online as well, she has given joyful moments, both documented and undocumented to as many people as possible. She continues on the Tour of Joy offering joy where ever possible, when ever possible.
This one hour or 90 minute talk is geared for caregivers, hospital staff, corporate leaders, service workers, and senior care workers, town leaders, all ages.
I show how laughter yoga, improvisation and other modalities can be pretty immediate in shifting our stressful moments into better coping moments. By following the science behind humor studies, and the effects of Applied Improvisation, we can shift our mood, how our body feels, reduce pain and inflammation, and have fun all at the same time! Improvisation shows that we can learn better and retain more information after an improv session.
I will lead some activities, and offer some quick activities that can be used anywhere and shared with staff.
I am very serious about humor, play, and the benefits.
