Lindsay Hurty, Ed.M., (she/her/hers) guides people through inner work, focusing on growth mindset, self-awareness and inner aliveness. A former beloved high school English teacher who now educates adult learners, Lindsay communicates powerfully, enlivens topics and rouses curiosity and joy.
Founder of Everwell – an education platform in the self-development space – Lindsay has designed, facilitated or hosted 350+ programs. Her signature course, Self School, is a modern personal reset for motivated and passionate people who find themselves stuck.
Using proven frameworks, storytelling and vulnerability, Lindsay champions authenticity as a means to confidently navigate life. Lindsay believes that the more self-educated we are, the more positive impact we can have on our world.
Lindsay is currently editing her first book, which is based on her "Self School" curriculum. She is also researching and writing her second book on life-teachers, a concept she’s coined.
With roots in California and Connecticut, degrees from Colby College and Harvard University, Lindsay’s favorite part of life is being woven into her loved ones’ fabric, most especially as Mom to her three kids.
I'm passionate about meaningful connection and any kind of small group gathering. I'm endlessly curious about the human condition. Learning about anyone's moments of growth or inner realizations--through the lens of vulnerability, humility and humor--delights me beyond measure.
Having a front row seat the the becoming of my three kids is the most interesting experience of my life.
(And... I LOVE dogs, Scrabble and audio books. I will always say yes to holding hands, searching for sea glass, roaming a bookstore, being cozy and dessert.)

I was in 8th grade when my beloved math teacher, Mr. Miner, told me that he was dying. He'd been on sick leave for months, and in a chance encounter on the eve of his surgery he told me that he wasn't sure he'd survive it. Miraculously, he survived another 9 years before he'd succumb to his illness. We'd stayed in loose touch, but I didn't get confirmation that he'd received my final letter days before he passed. I stayed anonymous to his wife and daughters at the funeral, amongst the sea of his adoring students that spanned decades.
But once a teacher myself, years later, I came to know a new math teacher, Regina. It would take months before the dots were connected, but upon my discovery that Regina was Mr. Miner's daughter and her discovery that I was that letter-writing Lindsay, something profound clicked into place. The bigger lesson from Mr. Miner came into view.
Mr. Miner taught me that like math, life is sometimes unfathomably complicated and hard, but also beautiful. If you pay attention and are patient, life's pain points have the ability to somehow make sense, even if that patience takes decades.
As classically educated as I am, and even with my years of teaching as a secondary English educator, the most valuable life-learning that has happened for me has happened outside of any traditional classroom, and I find that stunning.
I started paying close attention to the wisdom that lives in our everyday experiences (and within ourselves) more than 20 years ago. In 2016, I started hosting workshops in my home for moms trying to figure out what's next. I received tremendous feedback on my skill set, and that organically paved the path to the launch of my business, Everwell. I then created my signature online course, Self School, which teaches students how to tap into their inner wisdom, so they can figure out who they are now, to move through obstacles or transitions with intention, authenticity and confidence.
I'm on a mission to redefine what an education is by inspiring others to take ownership of their self-education.

Sometimes in adulthood we feel stuck and question what's next. Get inspired to tap into your inner wisdom, so you can acknowledge who you are now and what you value. Only from there can we move forward through obstacles or transitions and make big decisions with authenticity and confidence.
