Best Story

Wow! There are so many great ones, it's hard to pick just one.

I'll be back once I decide....

Origin Story

Most people love a good story, and as the child of a gifted storyteller, I was enamored by stories. My sisters and brothers and I would sit at the dinner table many evenings listening to my dad share memories and spin tales of his youth. We would laugh as we imagined him overturning outhouses, playing dodge-brick, stealing pies, and dunking some girl’s braids in his inkwell. I was amazed he lived to be 12. But times were different then.

Dad could add a moral to the story if he had to, and I learned very early how valuable a story can be when driving a point home. So much so that stories have become a part of every talk I give. Stories ease people into participating, and by simply listening they engage in an act of discovery on some level.
Add that good story to a workshop and it invites people to engage more directly. It creates greater value for them because they get to interact more intimately with the material as it’s being presented.

Engagement is what it is all about for me. Whether speaking or presenting a workshop, I love to get people engaged. I love to introduce ideas that inspire and stimulate possibility thinking; ideas that cause women to acknowledge and embrace the incredible impacts that are ours to make in the world, in every aspect of life. Ideas that encourage women to play in a larger playing field because what we have to bring is important and necessary for creating a greater value in a world that is rapidly changing and needing direction and guidance.

The more engaged my audiences are, the more information they take with them when the event is over, and that’s when I know that I have done my job.

What a Wonderful World…The Gift of Gratitude (Virtual)

Do you love to drive where you determine the direction you want to travel? I do. I love the feeling of freedom I get when I am behind the wheel of my car choosing where I want to go. It’s exhilarating! But what happens when you feel hampered by congestion, weather conditions or unexpected circumstances? What do you do to regain a sense of control?
Gratitude is a simple and powerful action that can help. It can move you from despair and discontent to greater ease and happiness, and it can elevate your current happiness to an even greater level of joy. Readily available, you can use gratitude wherever you are in your thoughts or feelings and at any time during our day. You don’t have to be in a good mood to begin. You just need to be willing to start.

If you struggle like I did with identifying things to be grateful for, or if you are feeling uncertain and discontented because your life feels like it is on an extended hold from the impact of the coronavirus, this program will offer you a great opportunity to regroup and reclaim control of your life experience. Your freedom waits. Join me and get out your map. It’s time to take a trip.

The Games We Play

Using the games we played as children as the backdrop for this talk, we explore the authority women have for claiming both personal and professional success by embracing their authentic power. During this interactive presentation, participants will confer on:
- what authentic power is;
- the prominent role perception plays in achieving their aspirations; and
- their ability to generate positive experiences and outcomes in both their professional and private lives.
All this while being uplifted and supported by people of like-mind and passion.

Cultivating Flowers among the Thorns

How do we embrace a way of being that is uplifting and open to affirming possibilities, especially when the circumstances of our lives feel heavy and burdensome? How can we rediscover the wonder and magnificence of who we are when doubt, fear, anger and resignation are our first response to unexpected situations that challenge us to our very core? How do we generate hope and joy so we can serve ourselves better in our healing process?

This hour long presentation is an interactive experience designed to create a safe, uplifting and affirming space to explore, wonder and expand your understanding of who you are. Its purpose is to celebrate and affirm you and your journey while providing various tools to positively support you. Dialoguing with others, sharing ideas and developing relationships are part of this program.
