I still remember that moment in a boardroom filled with fifty executives, my hands trembling so badly I could barely turn the slide. As a lifelong introvert who’d spent 25 years thriving behind the scenes—running a $32 million P&L and leading a team of over fifty—I was convinced public speaking would be my undoing. But when the CEO unexpectedly praised me in an all-hands town hall as “leading the fastest ship in the fleet,” something inside me shifted. I realized visibility wasn’t a liability; it was the currency I needed to unlock influence, resources, and growth.
That’s when I realized I wasn’t made for staying behind the scenes in corporate—I was meant to stand out. I saw that if I could launch a business inside a Fortune 100 company, I could launch one outside of it too. When my mother’s health was declining, my 25-year marriage was coming to an end, and I was facing the reality of being sole caregiver and provider for my son, I knew I had to apply every lesson I’d learned about visibility, influence, and authentic connection to build something of my own. So I took the leap: I founded my coaching practice, developed the “Attention Alchemy” framework to help women entrepreneurs turn their stories into magnetic forces, and in doing so, transformed my greatest fears into my life’s work.
