Passion

A topic that always puts a smile on my face is the magic of play and humor in everyday life. I mean, who doesn’t love turning boring tasks into adventurous quests or office meetings into comedy shows? Imagine using gamification techniques to transform your to-do list into a fun game where vacuuming the house feels like leveling up in a video game. Or better yet, sharing a joke so funny that even your grumpy cat can't help but smirk. Embracing play and laughter not only keeps me smiling but also keeps life from becoming a tedious hamster wheel.

Best Story

I had a boss named Chuck, a real-life doppelgänger for Chucky the doll. My boss was frugal which made negotiating for a raise tough. I got creative. I bought a Chucky doll and placed it on his desk every day for 10 days, each time with a reason I deserved a raise. Every day, it returned to my desk with a note saying, "Hidey-NO!"

On the 10th day, Chuck stormed into my office, threw the doll on my desk, and finally said, "Hidey-YES! I’ll give you a raise if you stop putting this creepy doll in my office!"

Just like Chucky is a doll in a scary story, a boss is just a person. Don’t let fear hold you back from negotiating. When we think creatively, we can achieve better outcomes and reach our goals more effectively.

Origin Story

From an early age, my love for food and play set the stage for my wild ride as an entrepreneur. I kicked things off as a Registered Dietitian, where my passion for food fueled my mission to make eating enjoyable. I used play and gamification to tackle nutritional challenges, turning the dinner table into a fun zone. Who knew broccoli could be so exciting?

When I presented to a corporate audience, I saw my playful methods transform workplace challenges into games, making everyone happier and more collaborative. This "aha!" moment led to my creation of the 4-step P.L.A.Y Process, boosting engagement, productivity, and profitability.

Today, I bridge the gap between work and play, inspiring people to create positive change. By unleashing the power of playfulness, we can tackle problems with a smile and a laugh, opening doors to a vibrant and fulfilling life. Let’s turn those frowns upside down and make work as fun as a playground!
