Biography

I’m not the kind of coach who just hands you a to-do list; I work holistically, looking at your whole world before we decide on a path forward. After two decades in the corporate grind, I saw too many brilliant women dimming their own light and staying on mute. Now, my focus is helping you restore your glow and reclaim your boldness. Whether it’s moving from a silent participant on Zoom to an active leader, or physically taking the stage to share your expertise, I use a blend of coaching and hypnotherapy to make sure you’re ready to be seen and heard.

Passion

I am a firm believer that everyone deserves to take up space and be heard. Outside of my professional practice, I’m deeply committed to animal welfare, which has taught me the power of intuition and advocacy. I bring the same dedication to my work as a social justice advocate and ally, engaging in grassroots community organizing and participating in civic groups such as Red Wine & Blue. My passion is helping women bridge the gap between dimming their light and owning their expertise—whether that's in the boardroom, at a town hall, or on a global stage.

Best Story

For a long time, my biggest fear wasn't failure—it was being seen. Even with 20 years of corporate experience, I was the woman dimming my own light to avoid standing out. I would force myself to keep my screen on during Zoom calls, but I still wouldn't speak up; I was physically present but professionally invisible. Finding holistic mindset work and hypnotherapy was my lifeline. It allowed me to uncover why I was playing small and gave me the tools to finally step onto a stage without feeling like an intruder. Now, I share the exact process I used to move from that silent 'black box' to the spotlight, helping other women finally take up the space they've earned.

Origin Story

In 2017, I walked away from a two-decade corporate career because I realized that 'success' shouldn't feel like a grind. My 'a-ha' moment came when I realized that traditional coaching only scratches the surface. To help women be truly bold, I had to look at the whole picture—mind, body, and subconscious. I founded Melissa Burgio Coaching + Hypnotherapy to bridge that gap, moving beyond standard advice to provide deep, holistic shifts that help women take their rightful place on any stage.
