Origin Story

When I was 4 my father got life-threatening cancer.He survived but we moved to a part of the state that was hostile to oursiders--even the kids. I was alone...and in being alone I wanted something that gave my little life meaning! At 11, I married my two passions, the LA Dodgers and writing and pronounced I would become a sportswriter--at a time when there were NO women sportswriters. But at 20 I was at the Detroit Free Press, 21 at the AP and on the front pages of the LA Times and 22 at the Washington Post. I went on to have one of the largest sports/special events/cable TV PR agencies in America for 20 years with a world class client list. (last thing I did was launch the worldwide poker boom with The World Poker Tour.) I wrote two bestselling books in personal growth and felt that what I really wanted to do was serve the people making the world better--authors with a message. We rebranded as Conscious Media Relations and have been doing radio/podcast tours for the last 12 years...and then a number asked if we could help them with speaking opportunities. We didn't want to book FOR them, but we new how to compile the contacts for them and make those available to leaders..hence SpeakerTunity was born. For me, it's all about helping people be seen, because I wasn't see as a child.
