Origin Story

I believe business is built on relationships. The ever-shortening cycle of technology innovations at the intersection of economics, politics, business, markets and global society has blurred boundaries among these. However the core strategic drivers, business needs, and human influence on these remain reasonably consistent,
As I conduct business I work to strategically align core needs as organizations transform and adapt to doing business within a hyper-digital loop.
On a personal level, as I live the diversity perspective, I continue to remain fascinated by the human influence on all sides of work and life.

How AI is Transforming Industries (@ Stevie Awards Women|Future Confernece)

Why should you care about AI? Artifical Intelligence is poised to dramatically change how we conduct business. Over the next three to five years, all our work-lives will be affected in some way as the barriers to heavy-duty tech infrastructure, large data repositories and new digital technologies diminish. The introductory session is designed for the non-technologist to understand AI and Machine Learning. It will provide a framework to confidently participate in digital transformation initiatives and resulting process redesign.

AI-readiness for Intelligent Process Automation

Financial Services need to accelerate towards adopting AI and other new technologies, or risk losing revenue, market share and talent.
Is ‘AI-readiness’ just another way of saying ‘digital transformation?’ The answer is an easy ‘No’!
Though there is a necessary catch-all implication to the term, Al-readiness is the horse that will lead the digital transformation cart. Some call this the next industrial revolution, where broad-scale availability of neo-tech infrastructure and very large repositories of data will drive the inter-connectivity of the new technologies to, yet again, revolutionize business and the world.
The executive's challenge is needing to make significant investment and budget decisions for next-gen process automation without the luxury of proven ROIs.
This is a thought leadership session that discusses balancing the complexity of digital transformation through riskier(but smart) strategies, partnerships and cogent build vs. buy decisions, impact on infrastructure and operational models and alignment with evolving regulations.

RegTech and Corporate Social Responsibility: An Unlikely Strategic Alliance

Regulatory management is about a fifth of a banks operational spend. Should this then not be more than just an transactional activity? Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) has board and market attention, but granular metrics and spend numbers are hard to come by. Moreover, are the two disciplines fundamentally different strategic pillars? A thought leadership session that considers industry's bifurcated strategy on Regulatory and CSR management to make the case that integrating them can allow firms to stay ahead in regulatory compliance while leading in social responsibility.

Banks and FinTech: Obsolesce or Bridges

Established banks are burdened by legacies of 40-year old technological infrastructure and patch-work layers built on increasingly unstable foundations. Shiny new FinTech upstarts have new stable infrastructure but not the gravitas of the Grand Dammes to be true challengers - yet.
Best presented as a panel that brings leadership from banks and direct-to-consumer FinTech providers to discuss if FinTech firms will infuse new DNA into banks, or just change the paradigm.

The Strategic Continuum in Delivering FinTech

FinTechs that are developing tech solutions for banks need to think beyond the sale at every stage of company development. A crucial component between product development, sale and end user adoption is product delivery. This is where promise of the product is realized. The audience will receive a primer on understanding their customer and end user, developing product, marketing and sales strategies with seamless delivery in mind that will naturally lead to adoption, and ensuring the right leadership & culture to make this happen.

Digital Transformation in FinTech

In the FinTech world, is it survival of the fittest or the fastest? Or neither?

The new FinTech providers are challenging traditional FIs with agility in product development and customer experience. The traditional Financial Institutions (the collective of investment, retail and mortgage banks, brokerages, insurers et al) appear to be lagging. To stay relevant and grow through the current technological spurt, the traditional FIs will need to undertake significant digital transformation while continuing to stay competitive.

Jagathi offers a set of strategic guiding principles drawn from deep experience in implementing technology that transformed business as usual across various industries and from her expertise of transforming large and global organizations.
