Best Story

"Becoming a professional in the mental health industry has challenged me into the best version of myself and inspired me to help others do the same. In my early 20's, I woke up in a ditch on the side of the road; soaking wet from a rain storm, dead cell phone in hand, not a soul in sight. It was the day I knew something needed to change and I began seeing a therapist. While in therapy, I learned that I had been suffering from Major Depressive Disorder, High Functioning Anxiety, and C-PTSD. I was moving through life lead primarily by my misguided and conditioned impulses that were the result of nervous system conditioning, social conditioning, unmet physiological needs, manipulation, and mindset blocks. Once I learned that these conditions were cognitive, behavioral, and physiological patterns practiced through experience, I was able to move from surviving, to coping, to healing, to thriving. Through my journey within the mental health industry I have come across a wide variety of lessons, mentors, and perspectives that challenged the way I thought about myself, the world, and myself in the world. This facilitated the groundwork, not only for my own deep and continuous self-work, but also created the framework I needed to help others release their limiting beliefs and unproductive behaviors so they can succeed in their own pursuits. Now, in my late 30's, health is the foundation of my life and my definition of health is ever expanding. I have began challenging the status quo in my industry to move from a Disease Model to a Health Model that is rooted in nervous system embodiment, bioavailability awareness, mindset management, and self-acceptance. Today, I am focused on facilitating conversations surrounding the future of mental health within the individual lives, communities, and business structures that weave together our social fabric; conversations which challenge the outdated professional standards that leave practitioners struggling to succeed in their field, and hence, impact clients progress and their own wellbeing. The debilitating, life-altering obstacles in my own life have put me on the path to my success and allowed me to adopt pronoia. I hope to inspire others to seek and discover their own limitless potential by showing them how to develop a relationship to their own cognitive, social, physical, spiritual, financial, and emotional health, and by highlighting the impact that this health has on the world around them."
