👀I believe VALUE IS IN THE EYES OF THE BEHOLDER and enjoy helping business leaders find value through listening -- to customers, suppliers, and employees.
🏆I am rewarded by helping individuals and businesses positions themselves and ACHIEVE SUCCESS.
✈️ I love to travel and to create EXPERIENCES for myself, my family and my colleagues.
👧I am the mom of 4 daughters. I have 3 sisters. I grew up with STRONG WOMEN. I've worked and succeeded in a male-dominated industry my entire career. And, am passionate about HELPING WOMEN ACHIEVE MORE - stretch their boundaries, understand and overcome, and set the stage for success. (While also fully appreciating the men in our lives.)
More than 100 miles
I generally get paid for speaking but make exceptions
I grew up on a small farm in northern Illinois as 1 of 7 children. There, I learned the value of hard work, teamwork, and an appreciation for tangible results. My parents instilled in my siblings and I, a sense of promise, growth and positivity. And the power of a dream and goals. (The farm was my dad's boyhood dream, growing up in inner city Chicago.)
I've always had my eyes on the end game -- first it was a degree in chemical engineering. Starting at a community college, then moving to university, getting experience along the way.
Then, attending business school - starting part-time at Kellogg while working full-time, then eventually transferring to the full-time program to complete my degree, then hiring on at Shell.
I feel privileged to have met many amazing people along my journey and have great experiences -- personal, work, family, travel, friendships.
In 2017, I decided to pursue my own dream of entrepreneurship -- starting Progressio Global, a boutique consulting firm that helps chemical companies achieve success from market-focused strategies.
in 2021, I pursued my dream of being a podcaster - launching The Chemical Show - and quickly becoming the go-to podcast in the chemical industry.
In 2023.... well, that story is still to be told. The vision is cast and its about to take root.
Have you ever wondered why some people always get recognized and rewarded?
⭐ They get the best promotions.
📌 They seem to be in the right place at the right time.
❓Was that accidental? Or was it purposeful?
I believe success is intentional. AND, that it is okay, even necessary, to define the terms of success - whether it be a performance rating, your next promotion, or speaking to the Board.
Alas, too many women have "tiara syndrome" --- if I just put my head down and work hard, "they" will notice what I'm doing and reward me.
Or, they believe the hype that women are not good negotiators. (Wrong: They are! but often for others and not themselves!!)
In this talk, using data and anecdotes, I help women recognize what's holding them back. And, identify 5 key focus areas that they can leverage immediately to take control of their destiny and negotiate their success.
About Negotiate Your Success:

This talk also is a great workshop.
Have you ever looked at a business deal and said to yourself: “What just happened here?” Or wondered why a certain deal was done. Or a particular supplier selected. Or how “they” got in business together. Especially when, on the surface, it just doesn’t seem to make sense. Frankly, we’ve all had those questions and wonders. That’s because we’re missing something critical. We’re missing the WHY.
In this talk, we’ll explore the deeper meaning behind your customer or business partner’s decisions. And how to find that out their WHY and use it to forge deeper connections with your business partners, create compelling value propositions and win more business.
• The Iceberg Principle of negotiations
• How to use personal and corporate interests (the WHY) to expand your Zone of Possible Agreement
• And, a 4-step process to help you uncover your customer’s WHY and apply it to your business dealings
Along the way, you’ll hear personal stories of businesses and leaders that got it right and those that got it woefully wrong, but learned to adjust.
