Passion

I have devoted my life to understanding the mind, body and spirit dynamics and how it shapes our lives. I love to inspire kids and adults to believe in their gifts and talents so they experience the joy and wonder of living in the gift. There is so much science behind the mind, body and spirit connection. Every day is an adventure!

Best Story

I met Tommy and was his visiting resource and special ed surrogate parent because Tommy had been taken from his 3 other siblings and parent during drug raid. He suffered from PTSD, Autism and was believed to be below average intelligence. He was 2 years behind grade level. He believed that if he tried and failed at something he was a failure. During our time together, playing, swimming, exploring in the woods and learning to riding a bike, Tommy released his trauma, realized that failures are the steppingstones to mastery. He is now at grade level and a top student. His healing encouraged his mother to get her GED and start college. His brother has decided he does not what to be a behavior problem and worked hard to heal himself as well. Living in the Gift has given this family support, guidance and purpose. They know their gift and talents and they have goals.

Origin Story

As an 13-year-old, during a time of great distress, I was given my calling and purpose. "To help many people". At 16 I knew that psychotherapy was not going to heal me from my trauma. I delved deep into the mind-body connection and wrote “Counseling gifted and talented using body awareness” in college. My heart ached to help my brother who suffered from mental illness and later my son with his. In another epiphany in my 20’s, I discovered and defined SocioSomatic Dynamics® which is the mind, body and spirit interactions. I have recently discovered that a mindset is governed by the other than conscious mind and the sociosomatic dynamics of a person and group. It is fascinating and liberating.

Now years later, the Living in the Gift empowerment program is a vast body of understanding and wisdom that ‘helps many people’ . I am living my purpose and calling.
