Passion

NOTHING HAPPENS UNTIL SOMEONE IN YOUR COMPANY SELLS SOMETHING! You must find ways to energize and inspire your sales team, and give your sales leaders tools to succeed. My passions are two fold: in seeing companies grow revenue and profits by small shifts every day; and in seeing more diversity in "male-majority" company sales teams. It takes work to be mediocre - why not work hard and succeed instead?

Best Story

I spoke to executives at a $1B company that had offices with no women on the sales teams. After 9 months working with them, they have increased the number of women in sales to 15%. It is a work in progress but great results so far. "Your talk and your challenge inspired us" - Sr. VP

Origin Story

I grew up in a family-run apparel store in Seattle. I got into technology sales in my early 20's because I wanted to make the same money as my male counterparts in a career that rewarded me for effort and creativity. I teach about sales leadership in B2B companies and for years helped onboard thousands of new sales reps. In addition to speaking to sales teams about growing revenues, I gained an appreciation to see more women in sales and sales leadership - and the strategies to get more women in sales. I didn't want to be pigeon-holed as "that woman who talks about women in sales" but it happened anyway. Companies I've spoken to have hired great candidates for their teams who happen to be women - and revenues are increasing. I have a system, and a tool, to ensure success. I also speak to young women in universities and colleges about considering a career in B2B selling.

Lori shares what a great field B2B professional sales is for women - where we can utilize our strengths in communication, collaboration, empathy, and follow-through to be successful sellers. The number of women in sales leadership has been flat for more than ten years.
