Darlene Newman is an innovation executive and AI strategist with more than two decades of experience leading enterprise transformation across financial services, technology, and venture-backed startups.
She is the founder of Ivy CapTech Advisors, where she advises senior executives at global enterprises and systemically important financial institutions on AI strategy, operating models, and scaling innovation beyond pilots—helping organizations cut through hype and build durable, enterprise-ready capabilities.
Previously, Darlene served as Head of Innovation at DTCC, where she led enterprise-wide innovation and technology strategy across AI, data modernization, and regulatory transformation within one of the world’s most critical financial market infrastructures. Her work focused on translating emerging technologies into measurable business value while operating under complex regulatory and risk constraints.
Earlier in her career, she co-founded and led product strategy for multiple venture-backed startups, including a digital platform that achieved a $125M+ exit valuation.
A globally recognized voice on AI transformation and innovation leadership, Darlene speaks internationally and contributes to global forums including the World Economic Forum. She has served on Duke University’s FinTech advisory board and is an active advisor and angel investor in women-led ventures.
She holds an MBA from the University of Oxford and a BS in Entrepreneurship & Finance from the University of Arizona.
