Helping people land work they love, and helping companies retain their people through wellness programming that creates a culture where employees feel valued.
I LOVE facilitating those "a-ha" moments for people where something that previously felt overwhelming feels attainable.
Talking about challenging things with humor, relatability, and a calming yet motivating energy.
I tailor my stories to the audience at hand - so I'll share a fun fact instead. Many people butcher the pronunciation of my name, so Amy is the fake name I give when ordering coffee/food. My name is pronounced A-lean and the struggle is real!
Taking a public speaking class was a graduation requirement for me in high school. I was 17 years old and one of the assigments was to write and deliver a persuasive speech as part of a declamation contest. I ended up winning the contest and received a lot of feedback about how passionate (someone may or may not have mentioned my neck vein was bulging!) and articulate I was... I have been speaking ever since!
In terms of why wellness, my brother had a football sized tumor in his chest at only 27 years old, and my mother endured 2 years of treatment for non-smokers lung cancer before she died at only 70. Their stories, and accompanying two people with a zest for life through heart-wrenching medical experiences, ignited my passion for wellness.
Since the majority of disease is linked to stress (over 80% of visits to doctors are stress related) and a major source of stress for many is work, I felt compelled to acknowledge the relationship that work and wellness have with one another. Life is too short to not do the work we love, and take care of ourselves while doing it.

This workshop focuses on stress and sleep and how we may be able to improve both during unprecedented times. It will help you gain a better understanding of how these areas are being affected and influenced by one another. You’ll foster your ability to give yourself compassion, and the reassurance that you are not alone. We’ll cover specific, evidence-based, practical strategies so you can move from feeling overwhelmed to armed with simple tools to try. You'll learn:
- Some of the physiological reactions that quarantining can elicit in the mind and body.
- Specific strategies to address stress and sleep from multiple angles, including nutrition tips, technology usage hacks, and mindfulness exercises.
- How to make small but impactful changes that can last, no matter what your life looks like.
What makes all of my speaking engagements different is:
- I incorporate humor and relatability to even the most difficult topics. I'm not afraid to use a GIF to get the point across.
- I don't come from a high horse - I've struggled with many of the topics I teach about, I've been burnt out, and that makes me better equipped at not just talking the talk but also walking the walk of managing stress no matter what life looks like
- Countless event partners have shared that my sessions actually change particpant lives -- a few have said "I still think about you every time I xyz and that workshop was 5 years ago now." I don't just share interesting information, but I make it accessible and actionable so attendees incorporate real behavior change into their lives.
