Phylecia Jones is a motivational speaker who is on a mission to change lives with a core message of believing to achieve and succeed. She has challenged hundreds of audiences to have a mindset shift when it comes to reaching success, the influence of math and the power of choices. As a result, she has presented in the United States, Canada and the United Kingdom on platforms such as NPR TED Radio Hour, NBC 9 News, FinCon, Women in Travel Summit, iThemes and a host of organizations that trust her ability to educate, inspire and transform. One of the highlights of her career, so far, is going to back to her roots of STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) and having the honor to launch a movement, “All Girls are Great at Math” on the stages of TEDx.
Since being a numbers and money nerd is not enough, Phylecia’s life has included earning titles as a baton twirler, traveling the world, performing with a circus, RVing across the USA, being a professional cheerleader, achieving 100hrs towards being a yacht captain... and continuously gathering an ever growing eclectic list of random cool things.
More than 100 miles
I generally get paid for speaking but make exceptions
The moment I stopped letting others 'should' on me was the moment the fog cleared and I could see the future.
Phylecia earned her Bachelor’s in Computer Science, a Master’s in Systems Engineering and launched her career as a Scientist & Engineer for the US Navy serving sailors and soldiers across the globe. Eventually, Phylecia took an early “retirement” at the age of 36 to jump feet first into entrepreneurship. Her skills with money, financial freedom, and budgeting landed her the title of Budgetologist, where she has helped hundreds of solo business owners have reality checks when it comes to being successful with managing money.
She is the Founder of NumericME, a company on a mission to support girls and women in STEM; the creator of Keep Up with Mrs. Jones, where she blogs about her adventures in business, travel and speaking; and the host of the daily live stream and podcast, Ask the Budgetologist, where she gets real about numbers, business and life. Outside of the numbers she uses her research skills as a go to expert Speaker Coordinator connecting talented speakers with stages across the globe.
