I am a high-content speaker with an engaging style. My expertise is helping people get unstuck by changing mindset. I have developed a program to teach people the skills to do so. Corporations and associations hire me all over the country to present my program. My foundation of being a Licensed Therapist/Hypnotherapist for many years solidifies my expertise. Although I have seen people from all walks of life, many of my clients are from the highest levels of professional success, and they often continue in their work with me to achieve even more.
I am a Featured Contributor and Columnist, "Inspiring You," for BizCatalyst 360. I have also written several blogs that can be found on Sixty and Me, Thrive Global, Goodreads, Darlene Corbett.com, and huffingtonpost.com/author/darlene-corbett. You can also go to my Amazon Author Page to see more about my events.
At this time, I make my home in Central Massachusetts.
Serving others is part of my DNA. As a result, sheer joy is the expression that comes to mind watching people change and grow in ways they never thought possible. Also, I see myself as a lifelong learner, which I believe affords me the ability to be a more effective and engaged speaker, therapist, and author. Both my love for people and learning has led me to be a part of many organizations, including the National Speakers Association, the Romance Writers of America, Women's Fiction Association, and the American Christian Fiction Writers. Also, in the past, I've served on many the Boards, including Abby's House, an organization in central Massachusetts that provides shelter, housing, and advocacy for women.
One of my favorite quotes is by the great Napoleon Hill: "Whatever the mind can conceive and believe, the mind can achieve." The other is by Beverly Sills: "You may be disappointed if you fail, but you are doomed if you don't try." A third is from Virgil: "Fortune sides with him who dares."

There are many wonderful stories which have helped usher me into the world of professional speaking. In addition, my precious experiences prompted me to write a book, "Stop Depriving The World Of You," published by Sound Wisdom and released in bookstores and online in November 2018.
The best story? I wrote my first novel at age 65, and it's about an older, widowed, female therapist running a ten-week group for professionally successful but wounded millennials. During the course of their journey, she examines obstacles interfering in her life to clear the way for a second chance.
My background is in Clinical Social Work and Hypnotherapy. I became a sole proprietor in 1989 and a partner with Needham Psychotherapy in 1993. For the last thirty years, I have been helping people through therapy. In the last few years, I decided to take my skills to a larger platform. I love speaking and writing, and with much enthusiasm, I will continue to pursue these endeavors for the next chapter of my life. My first novel, Visible, a Women's Fiction about second chances, will be published in the spring of 2024 by WordCrafts Press.
