Passion

Robotics, automation, and how to help our workforce and society as a whole prepare for having these technologies in the home. I also love talking about working with your hands, manufacturing, and combining technology and the trades. I am also passionate about introducing girls and women to technology and that one does not have to choose between a STEM field and being feminine.

Origin Story

When I was young I used to watch shows like BattleBots and Junkyard Wars on TV with my dad. Then when I entered high school I joined my high school robotics club. I fell in love with the ability to get parts that on their own don't do anything but when put together they come to life. I chose to become an engineer and attend Worcester Polytechnic Institute which had the first undergraduate degree in Robotics Engineering. I received my Bachelors and Masters degrees. I had always had a desire to start a company but when I was in college I noticed all of these amazing research projects but they would just die in the lab. I realized that if you are not successful at the business side that even amazing products will never reach the people they are intended to help. That is when I decided to start my own business.
