Best Story

I knew I wanted to start my own business but was struggling with the practicality of becoming an entrepreneur. My then 12-year old daughter said to me, “Mommy, grown-ups don’t take enough risks. If this is important to you, you should do it.” And my 9-year old son was only worried about whether we would still be able to afford his x-box games. Their confidence in me, or rather lack of the fear I was experiencing, was the only push I needed to make the leap. I’m so glad I did too.

Origin Story

After achieving a coveted, top HR role at a prestigious trade organization, I was not as enthusiastic about it as I knew I should be. I had the entrepreneurial bug that has been inherent in my family. I knew I needed to go out on my own as a consultant to help companies of every size and industry create effective workplaces, as I had done as an in-house HR executive.

The Silverene Group was established with my family’s entrepreneurial spirit at its core. My great-great-grandfather, who founded a carbonated beverage business that endured for over 100 years and eventually sold to Pepsi, built the family home called “Silverene”. It is a place that holds many special memories, and The Silverene Group continues his legacy of purpose, grit, passion, legacy, and building a sense of community.
