One of the world’s leaders in her field, Wendy has developed, designed and implemented systems for workforce planning and development, entrepreneurship and education throughout her career, working across all Australian states and territories, and international connections in Bhutan, Ecuador, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Maldives, Mongolia, New Zealand, Philippines, Singapore and the USA.

Working on Bhutan's National Workforce Plan and TVET BluePrint was an amazing experience as was hosting 50 entrepreneurs and Ministry representatives from Indonesia in Australia for a 2 week scaling up program.

Origin Story

Beginning her career as an Australian Apprentice (trainee) in state government, being quickly promoted to higher level administration roles and then working in a contact centre environment with Telstra, Wendy has a strong client focus. Wendy’s background includes business development, consultancy, training and assessing, leadership and management roles within private and public Registered Training Organisations in the areas of Traineeships and Apprenticeships (all industry sectors), Vocational Preparation and Business Services.
Wendy was the youngest Educational Manager in TAFE in South Australia at 25 years of age. She established the first call/contact centre training facility in South Australia at the Institute, gaining sponsorship from numerous contact centre, technology and recruitment agency supporters. Whilst in this role, Wendy was approached by the Industry Skills Board for Information Technology to manage the Women into IT&T project for South Australian Business Vision 2010. Linked to her work within industry, the Department of Education and Children’s Services offered Wendy a position in a senior policy role with an IT&T industry focus in the secondary schooling sector. In January 2003, at the age of 29, Wendy established operations for Wendy Perry and Associates Pty Ltd and with her first client, Reframing the Future she undertook a project management role working with organisations from around Australia from 2004-2008.

Presenting on VET and Entrepreneurship at the UNEVOC TVET Leadership Programme 2017 in Bonn, Germany in September 2017, Wendy worked with leaders from Armenia, Australia, Cameroon, Chile, Ecuador, Fiji, Germany, Ghana, India, Kenya, Korea, Malta, Mongolia, Qatar, Saint Kitts and Nevis, Seychelles, Spain, Sri Lanka, Trinidad and Tobago, Uganda, and Zambia.
