Best Story

I have so many client success stories it is hard to choose just one, from the attorney that went out on his own - hated it- and after we worked together, was able to pitch his business to another law firm and start a new division; to the Mechanical Engineer who thought no one valued her skills and is now living her dream on the West coast making 35% more than she thought possible. And most fondly, the people I was able to help to start their own small businesses when they thought they were unemployable or had no future. The best stories are the ones I get from people I mentored that have moved from a state of hopelessness into fulfilling businesses or careers.

Origin Story

I could have been a statistic. An unwed minority teenage mother in the 1970's. Disowned by my family, I had to make my way with no mentors or guidance. It was not easy by any means, but I wouldn't take anything for the people who saw things in me that I did not see in myself. “In Corporate America, I helped companies make a lot of money, but like so many others, I found myself totally miserable in that environment. Now, I help people learn what I had to learn – how to clarify what is needed to build an enjoyable and profitable career, whether as a business owner, an employee, or some combination of the two. Everyone wants to be valued, appreciated and respected, but there are specific things that you must do to get there.” - DSB
