Biography

Sarah Baker is an AI, technology, and automation expert who helps audiences build confidence using AI, without needing a technical background (or a PhD in computer science from MIT!)

Sarah didn’t begin her career in tech. She came from real estate, until a major life shift pushed her to rethink how she worked. After her son was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes, Sarah needed flexibility and control over her time, which led her into the online business world. What she quickly discovered was that people weren’t struggling because they lacked motivation or intelligence ... they were stuck because technology felt overwhelming, intimidating, and inaccessible.

Instead of backing away from the tech, Sarah leaned in. She learned AI and automation piece by piece, tested it in real-world situations, and developed a practical, human-first way of teaching complex tools in plain language.

Today, Sarah speaks to organizations, leaders, teams, and business owners about how to approach AI with curiosity instead of fear. Her talks focus on demystifying artificial intelligence, replacing overwhelm with confidence, and showing people how AI can support their work without replacing their humanity.

Known for her relatable style, clear explanations, and real-world examples, Sarah breaks down big, fast-moving topics into ideas that actually make sense. Audiences leave her sessions feeling capable, included, and ready to engage with AI... even if they never considered themselves “techy.”

Passion

I love making AI feel human, approachable, and safe to explore. I’m energized by conversations about using technology in ways that support creativity, clarity, and better work, not burnout. Breaking down big, fast-moving ideas into simple, practical concepts that make people say, “That finally makes sense,” is my favorite part of what I do.

On a personal note, my family is at the center of everything. I have three kids, and some of my favorite moments are Friday night movie cuddles on the couch, squeezing in trips to Disney World whenever we can, and spending Augusts in Vermont with our extended family. We’re a full-on swim family, which means when I’m not working, you’ll usually find me in my car playing “Mom Uber” ... driving to the pool, from the pool, or parked outside the pool waiting for practice to end.

At the end of the day, both my work and my life are driven by the same belief: technology should support real humans and real lives, not compete with them. Helping people build confidence, create space, and use technology in ways that actually make life easier is what I’m most passionate about, on and off the stage.

Origin Story

My path into AI and technology didn’t start with a love of software ... it started with a life change, and a hospital stay.

When my son was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes at three years old, everything shifted overnight. Flexibility was no longer a “nice to have,” it was non-negotiable. I needed to be home, available, and fully present, which meant rethinking how I worked and what kind of career was even possible.

As I transitioned into the online business world, I kept seeing the same pattern again and again. Smart, capable people weren’t failing because they weren’t working hard enough, many were putting in 80+ hour weeks and investing their life savings into their businesses. They were stuck because the technology felt overwhelming. Tools didn’t talk to each other, systems were duct-taped together, and the language around tech felt intimidating and overly complex. (I call this a "Franken-Business"). Everyone else seemed to be “getting it” faster.

Instead of walking away from the tech, I decided to lean in.

I learned slowly, imperfectly, and one piece at a time. I asked the “dumb” questions. I experimented. I broke things. And eventually, things started to click.

Around that same time, a small company called OpenAI released a new product called ChatGPT. It caught my attention, and I had an inkling it might become a big deal ... so I decided to learn how to use it. That decision ended up changing the direction of my work entirely.

What I discovered was this: when technology is taught in a way that feels human, practical, and approachable, people don’t just learn it, they gain confidence. And that confidence changes everything.

Today, I speak and teach about AI, technology, and automation with a human-first approach, helping people move past fear and overwhelm so they can use these tools powerfully, without needing to be “techy.”

No fire hose in sight.

You’ll walk away knowing which AI tools to focus on (and which to skip), plus practical ways to start using AI right away … without needing to be “techy.”
