Alexia Michitti is a motivational speaker, adaptive fashion innovator, and former professional athlete whose work sits at the intersection of resilience, inclusion, and entrepreneurship. She competed at the international level as a goalkeeper at the Women’s Amputee World Cup, representing the United States and earning a Golden Glove award, an honor given to the top goalkeeper in the tournament. Competing on the world stage reinforced her belief that difference does not limit potential—it fuels it.
Drawing from her lived experience of being born without her right hand, Alexia founded EM13RACE, an adaptive clothing company created to address a gap she personally faced: the lack of functional, inclusive apparel for individuals with limb differences. She is the inventor of a patented adaptive clothing design, which reimagines traditional garments to provide greater independence, comfort, and confidence for wearers. Her patent represents not just innovation, but advocacy—proving that inclusive design belongs in mainstream fashion.
Through her speaking engagements, Alexia connects elite athletics, real-world entrepreneurship, and personal empowerment to inspire audiences to rethink ability, embrace individuality, and transform obstacles into opportunity.
What truly drives Alexia is her passion for empowering people to believe in themselves—especially when the world tells them they don’t fit the mold. She is deeply committed to helping individuals, with or without disabilities, recognize their value, embrace their differences, and step into their full potential with confidence.
At the core of her work is a belief that mindset shapes possibility. Through her experiences as an athlete, entrepreneur, and speaker, Alexia challenges audiences to see adversity as an opportunity for growth, resilience, and leadership. Whether on a stage, in a classroom, or through her advocacy, her mission is to inspire others to own their story, trust their abilities, and move forward without limits.
Alexia shares the story of competing on the international stage at the Women’s Amputee World Cup, offering audiences an honest look at what it took to get there—physically, mentally, and emotionally. She speaks about the preparation, the pressure of representing her country, and what it meant to step onto the field as an athlete with a limb difference. Through that experience, she highlights the realities of resilience, adaptability, and confidence, and how those lessons extend far beyond sport and into everyday life.
Alexia’s journey began the moment she was born without her right hand—a reality that shaped how she moved through the world, but never how she saw her potential. Growing up, she learned to adapt in environments that weren’t designed with her in mind, developing resilience, creativity, and determination along the way.
As an athlete, she pushed past expectations on the soccer field, and as she transitioned into adulthood, she recognized a deeper pattern: individuals with limb differences were constantly asked to adapt to systems that failed to include them. Rather than accepting that limitation, Alexia chose to challenge it.
That realization became the foundation of EM13RACE—not simply as a clothing brand, but as a movement rooted in inclusion, confidence, and empowerment. What began as a personal need evolved into a mission to create change, proving that when lived experience meets innovation, real impact is possible.
