Alisia Gill inspires and enables high-achieving midcareer women stop second-guessing themselves and start making career decisions with clarity and conviction.
Most career coaches focus on tactics — résumé rewrites, interview prep, LinkedIn optimization. Alisia does something fundamentally different. As a trained economist, she brings a rare analytical lens to career coaching — one grounded in how labor markets actually work, how industries shift, and how the structural forces shaping white-collar careers affect the choices available to professionals. That macro-level understanding provides unique context that most coaches simply can't offer, giving her clients a clearer picture of the landscape they're navigating before they make their next move.
But market insight alone isn't enough. Alisia's coaching methodology goes deeper, helping women reconnect with their identity — not just their résumé — so they can make bold, values-driven career moves with confidence rather than fear. Through her proprietary frameworks, she guides clients through deep introspective work that uncovers the patterns, strengths, and instincts they've been trained to ignore. The result isn't just a better job. It's a fundamentally different relationship with how they navigate their careers and their lives.
This perspective is also shaped by Alisia's career at the highest levels of organizational leadership. She spent over 15 years as a human capital and employee engagement leader at IBM, served as New York City's first Chief People Officer, and held senior roles at an Inc5000 firm. She has sat in the rooms where talent decisions get made, seen firsthand how organizations think about their people, and understands the systemic dynamics that shape women's careers in ways most coaches simply don't. That insider knowledge gives her clients an edge that no amount of tactical coaching can replicate.
Her insights have been featured in The Wall Street Journal and on NPR, where she is sought out for her distinctive perspective on the evolving career landscape for professional women.
Today, Alisia works with women in their 40s and 50s who are accomplished on paper but feel lost in practice — women who sense that something needs to change but can't quite name what it is. She helps them stop operating on autopilot, rediscover what makes them extraordinary, and make their next career move from a place of power rather than panic.
Alisia holds a master's degree from Princeton University and an undergraduate degree from Columbia University. She is an executive coach, speaker, and consultant who brings warmth, directness, and intellectual rigor to every engagement.
If you're looking for someone who will help women think differently about their careers — not just land a job, but reclaim agency over the trajectory of their professional lives — Alisia brings a perspective that is rare in this space.
I spent my life collecting external markers of success (Ivy League degrees, fluency in multiple languages, Fortune 100 employers, etc.) and playing by the rules. It worked... until it didn't. Doing what I was told by high-profile mentors led me to make career decisions that led to a nervous breakdown, at a time with mental health and wellness weren't a *thing*.. It transformed me, paving the way to my rebirth as someone who puts myself first and used it to differentiate myself and achieve authentic success without sacrificing myself.
After years in corporate and government as a Chief People Officer, and a former Wall Street economist, I understood that my real passion is in motivating individuals directly. Specifically, to inspire and enable midcareer corporate women to approach their careers -- confidently and successfully. The world of work is very different than we were taught and now is the time to focus on getting their needs met as an enabler of success. My provocative and cheeky approach resonates because I've been on both sides of the career navigation game -- and they know that I care deeply about their winning and living a life of no regrets. This is legacy time, our time to live a life of fulfillment, meaning and joy.
