Biography

Myra Quick is the founder and President of Fast Forward Learning and Development. Her passion is developing front-line employees into a workforce prepared for the challenges of today’s business climate. Her 20 years in human resources brings a unique perspective to her work in L&D and her on-stage presentations.

She is a dynamic, award-winning speaker with a relatable, interactive style that leaves audiences refreshed and energized.

Passion

I believe a business is only as good as the people that it employs. And so, I love bringing information to audiences on how to engage and retain a workforce equipped to take their organization to the next level.

Best Story

People are hard sometimes, but where would we be without them?

Once, I was presented with an audience that could best be described as captives.

It was one of the most challenging presentations I have ever done. The attendees were borderline hostile. However, at the end of the session, I received the best compliment of my entire career. When a woman came to speak with me afterward, she said, "Thank you so much. I wish I had learned this sooner."

The lesson is that if even one person is changed, it was worth it.

Origin Story

With 20 years of experience in human resources, the one thing I know for certain is that more people fail due to a lack of foundational soft skills than technical skills. So in 2017, I launched Fast Forward Learning and Development to advance the workforce by developing these critical skills.

Since that time, I have trained hundreds of employees and employers on topics such as collaboration, communication, critical thinking, and customer service.
