As an immigrant who followed my parents' lead in work ethic, and as I was growing my business I did not prioritize my health and wellbeing. This resulted in major consequences with my health, my relationships and eventually my business. I had to learn how to prioritize myself and accept that caring for myself and my overall wellbeing was essential for both personal and professional success. I had to put in the hard work, ask for help and slowly recover myself to where I am now.
I started my career in mental health over 20 years ago but have had a lifelong passion for understanding human behavior and what drives change, and helping others heal and create the change they want to see. A few years ago, both of my parents passed away which led me to really question life and where I was. I realized that I was burned out working exclusively under the umbrella of mental health and wanted to reach more people globally through speaking and training. Being able to create more impact for larger groups excites me.
