Biography

Dr. Victoria Farris is a keynote speaker, leadership strategist, and executive coach working at the intersection of nervous system science and change management. With over a decade of experience with executives and leadership teams. She helps organizations move beyond performative leadership into what actually retains people: manager self-awareness, trust, and human-centered systems built for an AI-driven workplace. Her ALIVE Leadership Model gives leaders and organizations an actionable path out of burnout and turnover, moving teams from constricted, reactive states to conscious, liberated ones. Her signature talk, The Aliveness Deficit, unpacks what disengagement is quietly costing organizations, and what it actually takes to build the infrastructure to fix it.

Passion

I am passionate about people getting to feel fully alive-- in their leadership and in their actual lives! Watching women step into their agency and leadership, unapologetically. The beach, even in the winter-- have you ever seen the snow kiss the ocean?! Rainbows. My kids. Big earrings, red lipstick, and well-timed F*Bombs. And any leader who finally stops performing and starts feeling like themselves again, that's the whole point of this work.

Best Story

I'm a recovering people pleaser who's now been arrested close to 10 times! (Only for non-violent, civil disobedience that John Lewis would call: "good trouble")

Origin Story

I was working on my doctorate because I aspired to be a Vice President in academia. I was studying inclusive supervision, specifically the role white colleagues can play in disrupting workplace racism, and it blew my mind. First, I saw myself in so many of my participants' stories; it was a real eye-opener about my own growth edge. But more than that, what they shared pointed to something bigger: real change wasn't happening through policy or good intentions. It was happening in the room, in real time, when someone could regulate themselves enough to stay present instead of getting defensive or shutting down. That's the thread I've been pulling ever since. I quit my job, became a full-time speaker, coach, and facilitator, and built what's now the ALIVE Leadership Model, because the nervous system, not the training manual, is where leadership actually changes. I want us all to work in places where we feel valued, dignity, and like we belong, and where we're regulated enough to actually build that for each other.
