Biography

Jennifer is a first-generation Portuguese American who authored her first book, Week 26 aspiring to help others, all while leaving a legacy for her children. She is a mother of three children, two of which were born at just 26 weeks gestation and spent over four months in the NICU. Their family's story of hope, faith and perseverance is what inspired her to write her first memoir.

Jennifer self published Week 26 in 2024 and continues to participate in numerous fundraisers, podcasts and speaking engagements in order to continue raising awareness and advocating for NICU babies and parents. She has built a career in the corporate sector and when she’s not working or spending time with her family and friends, she’s surrounded by her pets, listening to music, or enjoying the outdoors. Her life is fueled by her children, her family, and her culture, all of which have made her who she is today.
