Paige Williams is a Narrative Intelligence researcher, innovation strategist, bestselling author, filmmaker, and founder whose work explores how the stories we live inside shape leadership, decision-making, innovation, and change.
She is developing and researching the emerging field of Narrative Intelligence and is the author of The Twelve Creative Keys. Previously, Paige founded and led AudPop, a global technology platform serving more than 80,000 filmmakers and creators.
Drawing on applied research, strategy, pattern recognition, storytelling, and more than a decade of founder experience, Paige works with leaders navigating complexity and building what does not yet have a playbook.
She has spoken and facilitated for organizations and audiences including Microsoft, Nasdaq, ALPS, and the Montana Chamber of Commerce.
I’m fascinated by how people make sense of complexity, especially when the old maps stop working. My work explores how the narratives through which we interpret experience shape what we see, the choices we make, and what becomes possible next. I’m especially energized by working alongside founders, researchers, executives, and creators who are building what does not have a playbook yet.
For more than a decade, I built AudPop, a technology platform that connected more than 80,000 filmmakers and creators with brands, audiences, and opportunities around the world.
I raised capital, built teams, navigated constant uncertainty, and learned firsthand what it means to create something before there is a map for it.
Eventually, I realized that some of the hardest problems I was facing were not strategic problems. They were interpretive ones. The story I believed about success, responsibility, identity, and what I had to keep carrying was shaping the decisions I could see.
That experience became part of the inquiry that now drives my work: How do the stories we live inside shape what we notice, what we believe is possible, and how we act when the future is uncertain?
I started as a documentary filmmaker, captivated by the power of story to shape how we see ourselves and the world.
That curiosity led me to build AudPop, a global technology company serving more than 80,000 filmmakers and creators. Building a company taught me something unexpected: stories do not only live in films, books, or presentations. They operate underneath strategy, culture, identity, leadership, and decision-making.
After more than a decade as a founder, I began investigating that idea more deliberately.
Today, I am developing and researching Narrative Intelligence: our capacity to recognize the narratives shaping how we interpret experience, discern what is actually true, remain open to other possibilities, choose consciously, and live those choices.
My work now sits at the intersection of research, innovation, strategy, storytelling, and lived founder experience. I work with people doing consequential, original work who are trying to think clearly and move intelligently when there is no obvious map.
Change rarely fails because people lack ambition or insight. More often, change asks something different of us at different moments. Based on Paige Williams’s bestselling book The Twelve Creative Keys, this keynote explores the emotional and narrative patterns that shape how people move through uncertainty, resistance, creativity, and transformation. Audiences leave with a practical framework for recognizing what is getting in the way, working with the story underneath it, and taking the next aligned action.
Access to information and machine-generated answers is accelerating faster than our ability to interpret them. This keynote explores what happens to discernment, agency, and decision-making when fluency can be mistaken for truth and speed for certainty. Paige gives leaders a practical way to examine the frames shaping a decision, hold competing interpretations, and protect the human judgment that consequential choices still require.
Technology, markets, roles, and assumptions can change faster than established leadership models can keep up. This keynote explores how leaders make consequential decisions when precedent is incomplete, interpretations conflict, and the answer is not obvious. Paige shows how Narrative Intelligence helps leaders separate fact from interpretation, challenge inherited assumptions, expand the options they can see, and make clearer choices under uncertainty.
Most conversations about narrative focus on telling a better story. This keynote begins one step earlier: noticing the stories, interpretations, and assumptions already shaping what we see, what we make things mean, and which choices appear available. Paige introduces Narrative Intelligence as an emerging framework for moving from storytelling to story awareness — because we cannot choose differently until we can see the story choosing for us.
