With vivid stories from the ER and beyond, Dr. Anne shows how we can all rewire our brains—not just to survive, but to radically thrive.
I’m an ER physician, global health leader, and survivor. For years, I thrived in high-pressure environments—treating trauma, leading international medical initiatives, and training the next generation of doctors. But behind the professional success was a personal history I had never fully faced.
That changed when I uncovered a long-buried police report documenting childhood abuse—hidden in an old foster care file. The emotional impact of that discovery, compounded by years of cumulative stress and secondary trauma, brought me to the edge of burnout. My medical training had prepared me to save lives, but not to protect my own brain from the silent wear and tear of unprocessed trauma, chronic stress, and disconnection.
What began as a breaking point became a turning point. I realized that true resilience isn’t about pushing harder—it’s about rewiring how we respond to stress, integrating our truth, and protecting the brain as our most powerful asset. This insight became the foundation of my work in Radical Brain Health: showing people how to move beyond survival into growth, creativity, and thriving.
Today, I speak to corporations, healthcare teams, and mission-driven organizations about how brain health drives performance. My keynotes turn the science of resilience, focus, and adaptability into practical strategies that help leaders and teams excel under pressure, spark innovation, and sustain energy over the long term. By blending cutting-edge neuroscience with stories from the ER, I show how investing in brain health is the smartest way to future-proof your people and your organization.
