Biography

I never made New Year's Resolutions. Rather, I had my Plan (D)ream ready to go and I implemented it in Feb 2017 with the creation of my company, Evozen. I absolutely love connecting and elevating others and in ClientFirst, I do that for investment advisors, insurance professionals, attorneys, CPAs, trust officers (and more) who work with clients' money. Given the TRILLONS coming to women, I want to ensure that the best and brightest are ready to make an extra positive impact. Native Texan, we split our time between Nashville TN and Northwest Arkansas. I am married to the love of my life, David, for almost 39 years, and we have 3 rescue pups. I garden, love to take award-winning photography, build things, travel and brake for turtles.

Passion

My husband and I knew we would marry on our very first date. Almost 39 years later, I still adore him! I believe that dogs walk on water. I giggle about turtle sex. I love the first blooms in my garden. And, I light up to capture a memory in my photos - especially if it around these other loves in my life.

Best Story

Networking is amazing, especially when coupled with serendipity. I randomly introduced one lavender farmer to another prospective lavender farmer - just thought they needed to know each other. 20 minutes and an email later, an improbable chain of events was set into motion. Turns out that, at that exact moment, unbeknowst to me, they were at the same national conference. One recognized the other walking down the hall despite thousands of people in a huge venue. Two families became friends. An already planned dream college visit for one son is now getting red-carpet treatment as the other sits on the University's Board. Doing for others always returns 10-fold. The same time I heard about it all - a completely unexpected and significant gift was made to my company to help me get to the next level in our growth.

Origin Story

My corporate bean became old and expensive in 2017, but it just meant it was go-time for Evozen! All the big problems in my field (professionals growing their practices, bringing more women and minorities around the table and helping senior advisors exit with grace) can be solved by effective networking. Nobody teaches you how to do it and it is not as natural as we'd all like to think. Throw a little pandemic into the mix and suddenly, geography no longer matters. Bootstrap funds (because let's face it, women sure aren't getting venture capital) and 8+ years later, we continue to grow with the brightest and best in our target industries, bringing hidden talent into plain sight.
