I recently spoke at Q2B Silicon Valley 2024. I started out by sharing how the last time I spoke at a conference in Silicon Valley, it was before I did a career transition into tech and I was the Master of Ceremonies at the Global Technology Symposium in 2013. I then reflected at the tech trends of 2013 and how having hardware that is ready can enable the rapid growth of jobs, startups, and innovation. I connected that story to the state of quantum, an emerging industry that is showing great promise, especially with the hardware that exists and what can be accessed today.
I started with a BA in International Relations and made my way to becoming a full stack web developer, product manager, and professional in successfully launching US subsidiaries of quantum startups from Europe, translating complex ideas and technologies to various audiences.
