She believes learning should feel exciting, inspiring... and a little bit fun.
Her signature keynote, “How to Find Your Who: Networking for Success,” helps women move beyond the 30-second intro and business card shuffle... and into real relationships that fuel visibility, confidence, and growth.
At the most recent WISE WOMEN Conference, she debuted her unforgettable talk, W.I.N.D. – What Every Woman Needs to Rise, built around the song Wind Beneath My Wings. This inspiring message introduced her WIND™ framework for helping women rise by lifting others... fostering collaboration, encouragement, and powerful partnerships.
Through her keynotes and her curated mastermind communities, April has helped hundreds of women uncover their voice, own their value, and build businesses grounded in generosity and aligned visibility.
If you're looking for a speaker or facilitator who knows how to connect a room, invite in breakthrough moments, and leave every woman feeling like she belongs... April is exactly who you want in front of your audience.
One of the things that brings me immense joy is empowering women by helping them build genuine connections and friendships that fuel both life and business. There’s nothing more fulfilling to me than helping women feel seen, supported, and celebrated, especially in a world that often tells us to compete instead of collaborate. I believe in building real relationships that lift each other up, not tear each other down. When we stop trying to do business alone and start showing up for one another with generosity and heart... that’s where the magic happens. Celebrating each other’s wins and rising together, that’s what puts a big smile on my face.
One of the most meaningful stories I share is about my sister. About 35 years ago, she believed in me at a time when I didn’t fully believe in myself. Her support, her quiet encouragement, and her way of seeing something in me that I couldn’t yet see in myself changed the entire trajectory of my life.
This story reminds me, and the women I speak to, that sometimes all it takes is one person believing in you to change everything. We not only women like that in our life, but we can BE that person for someone else.
That’s exactly what I try to do for other women. Help them feel seen, supported, and confident enough to step fully into who they’re meant to be, unapologetically.
After my kids grew up and left home, I found myself in a quiet house... and it felt a little too quiet. For years, I had been surrounded by life and laughter, by the everyday busyness of baseball games, dance practices, and wrestling tournaments. I didn’t realize how much I’d miss the sideline friendships, the quick chats with other moms, and the steady rhythm of connection that came with it all.
At the same time, I was running a successful branding and website design business that I had built and loved for over nine years. I helped dozens of women step into the spotlight with their businesses, and I was always the one in the background, cheering them on and helping them shine. And honestly, I loved that role.
But I also started to feel something shift. I had this quiet inner nudge, a knowing, that it was time for me to step into more. To stop hiding behind the scenes and start stepping into the forefront as the leader I knew I was meant to be.
As I leaned into that, I realized I was craving something deeper. I didn’t just want clients, I wanted real business friendships.
I needed high-level conversations, genuine support, and a community of women who understood what it was like to be a business owner. Not surface-level networking or competitive spaces... but real connection, collaboration, and sisterhood.
That’s when the idea for WISE WOMEN started to take shape. I didn’t have all the answers yet, but I had the vision. So I shared the idea briefly with a woman I thought was a friend, someone I had spent countless hours supporting.
And instead of cheering me on, she shut the door. She told me my idea was too close to hers and removed me from a group I had helped build.
Just like that, I was out. It hurt. Deeply. I had given so much of myself, only to be dismissed and discarded.
But now, I see it clearly. That moment gave me the push I needed. It cleared the space so I could finally stop shrinking and start creating what I had envisioned all along. It was time for me to stop hiding and start shining... in my own right.
That’s when I got serious about building WISE WOMEN.
I knew I wasn’t the only one craving connection. I wanted a place where women could come together, grow together, and celebrate each other’s wins, without jealousy, comparison, or competition. A place where women felt safe, seen, and supported in both life and business.
And now? That’s exactly what WISE WOMEN Masterminds® has become. A high-integrity, heart-centered community for women who are ready to grow their business inside a circle of real connection and real support.
It started with a moment that broke my heart... but it led me to build the thing I had been searching for all along.
