Best Story

When I was in Kenya many years ago hiking in the bush, one day I stayed back from the group outing and while I was exploring, I came across a boy who was injured. I retrieved my first aid kit and patched him up. We were trying to talk to each other, but neither of us knew the language of the other. Eventually, we started pointing to objects around us -- trees, the sun, animals -- and we drew pictures in the dirt of those objects, then spoke the name of the thing. Back and forth we taught each other a few words of our native tongues. Eventually I had to return to my camp, but I'll always remember the way we communicated... with few words but great understanding.

Origin Story

I was always drawn to the stage in one form or another, although my chosen career was in IT. About 15 years ago I decided that I was done hedging my bets, and dedicated myself to learning the craft of acting. I was thrilled to be cast in theatre productions, independent films, web series, and improv shows.

The thing that really stuck with me however was the emotional and personal transformation I underwent as a trained actor. I decided that I needed to bring this tectonic shift to the business world. We need so badly to connect with others better, and learning the techniques that I was blessed with learning is a great foundation!
