Origin Story
I’ve been thriving through storms since before I was born. My mother had a high-risk pregnancy with little chance of survival, and shortly after I was born, I had to undergo a spinal tap to check for meningitis. By the age of 5, I was no stranger to hospitals, spending most of my days there for surgeries and multiple illnesses.
At 13, I was dancing in commercials and performing at the 1996 Olympics, despite battling severe arthritis that left doctors astonished that I could even walk. But that was just the beginning.
I faced a high-risk pregnancy with my twins, losing one and nearly dying after complications that led to a hysterectomy at 24.
Over the years, I underwent 10 surgeries, including one so complex that doctors feared I wouldn’t survive. A miracle surgeon saved my life, and after months of recovery and learning how to walk again, I thought the worst was behind me.
But more storms came: Storms of betrayal flooded me all at once. My daughter was diagnosed with autism and anxiety. I was wrongful accused of a federal that warranted a drawn out investigation, I endured an abusive marriage full of infidelity, and constant betrayal by those closest to me. I lost my identity, completey unrecognizable.
I now live with a rare neurological condition and an incurable endocrine disorder, causing severe pain and symptoms that make life a constant struggle. Yet, in the midst of it all, God spoke to me: “You are MY CHILD. With Me, you are Empowered, Equipped, and Resilient.”
I am here today, not because of my own strength, but because I chose to trust in God's power. I was built for it! Despite the storms, I stand resilient, empowered, and ready to help others discover the same strength within.
