I always get paid for speaking
There are oh so many! While living in Aotearoa/New Zealand, where the delightful motto is "work hard, play hard," I actually looked forward to jumping off of a plane to go skydiving. While working at a wilderness center in the Coromandel Peninsula of the North Island (think spectacular Lord of the Rings scenery), I realized during our training day that I was the ONLY one in our group to not feel terror at the thought of our upcoming freefall. This mirrored a new awareness of what I naturally took for granted inside of me, as new life situations can give us perspective that we otherwise never would have realized. Even though my dear peers were in a state of fear, I learned that I could still peacefully be a leader in their company while remaining compassionate, joyful, and true to myself. Looking back, that experience foreshadowed the type of life I would end up leading as a loving and willing cliff jumper, both literally and figuratively.
Years ago, I healed from chronic hormonal imbalances like Hashimoto's Thyroiditis (an autoimmune condition) and migraines to the point of sustainable, long-term remission 100% naturally. This inspired me to get a Master of Science in Clinical Herbal Medicine from the Maryland University of Integrative Health, multiple hormonal balance Ayurvedic certifications from the National Ayurvedic Medical Association, and to train with internationally renowned herbalists and holistic health practitioners. Today, I love to support other women to do the same.
