As an associate professor of practice and director of academic innovation and strategic partnerships at Gordon College Herschend School of Education, I apply my PhD in education policy analysis and my executive education in nonprofit leadership to advance the mission and vision of the institution. I am to lead initiatives that foster a culture of excellence, equity, and engagement among faculty, staff, and students, as well as external partners and stakeholders.
With over 20 years of experience in the education sector, I have developed a range of competencies and skills that enable me to create and deliver impactful learning experiences, both in the classroom and beyond. I am a certified wellness teacher, a skilled facilitator and speaker, and and inclusion advocate. I am also the founder of Aspiring Spirit LLC, a podcast and consulting platform that explores topics such as spirituality, leadership, and social justice. Through my work, I aim to inspire, empower, and transform individuals and organizations to reach their full potential and contribute to positive change in the world.

I often describe how my (deceased) son inspired a belief in the strength pf a beloved community. I share stories of his learning about racism in school and how our school community embraced that lesson to come together.
I immigrated to the US as a child who experienced a plethora of educational environments which sensitized me to the dramatic disparities in learning environments and opportunities. I have also seen communities come together to support one another and build up their homes and schools through collaboration and love. As a parent I saw that with my children's early childhood experiences and it served to encourage a vision of excellent learning environments for all.
