KB Vega is from Newton, just a quick 15 minutes outside of Boston. Growing up in the restaurant world, she started working young, right alongside her family. KB went to Suffolk University and graduated with a degree in Sociology, with a focus on Criminology and Law. She always thought she'd be a lawyer, but after a couple of summers at a law firm... let’s just say it wasn’t for her (no offense to all the lawyers out there!).
After college, KB moved to NYC, spent five years in the nightclub scene, and that’s where she met her husband, Anthony. They eventually made their way back to Boston so Anthony could open up his own restaurant, and KB's been helping out since day one—14 years and counting!
KB is also working on her online brand, InspiHER Empire, a clothing and lifestyle brand that’s all about feeling good and empowering women. KB has been featured in several online and print publications, been guests on several podcasts, been a contestant on an entrepreneurial reality tv show called 'The Blox', co-authored on an anthology book called 'The Voices of 100 Women', is in the process of writing her own memoir and is a motivational speaker in the making.
When KB is not wrapped up in work, she loves to travel, explore different cultures, and, of course, eat. She's a big foodie, so trying out new foods is a must. You can usually catch KB soaking up the sun on a beach during the summer, taking road trips, diving into a good book, or just hanging out with family and friends.
I love helping and inspiring women to be the best versions of themselves through self-love, body positivity and confidence. These were all things that I struggled with growing up, so my passion is to help women overcome these negative thoughts about themselves through my own experiences. I wanted to interwine my love of helping people with my love for fashion and that's when I created my brand, InspiHER Empire. It's more than just feeling cute, comfy and confident. It's a movement of women supporting, uplifting and being there for one another and helping each other overcome struggles we may face.

Oh, I have plenty, but one of my favs is how I signed up for a week long entrepreneurial bootcamp, that was being filmed for a reality docuseries, created by Wes Bergmann of MTV's The Real World Austin and more recently, House of Villains 2. Not only did I learn a lot that week professionally, but grew a lot on a personal level. Who knew that answering a Facebook ad about upscaling your business, would end up being one of the BEST experiences of my life? Side note: some of the people I met on that show have become my best friends!
A few years ago, I started a positivity platform on IG where I opened up about things that I overcame in my life such as abuse, drug addiction, eating disorders, trauma, and loss. By doing this, I was receiving private messages from strangers who followed me, saying that my story inspired them and gave them the courage to tell theirs. I didn't realize at the time that being so vulnerable and honest, was not only helping me heal but helping others heal as well. Right then and there was my aha moment and I knew that helping and inspiring people was my purpose in life. I eventually wanted to incorporate my love for fashion with my newfound purpose and that's when I created my company InspiHER Empire. We are not only a clothing and lifestyle brand but a sisterhood, a community that supports, empowers, helps, and inspires each other.
I had such an amazing time chatting with Nicole Cherie on the Real Unicorns Don't Wear Pants Podcast! We swapped stories about our time working the nightlife scene in some of the biggest cities around and how overcoming drug addiction has shaped us into the strong women we are today.
I recently had the honor of being a guest on the Women Going Big Podcast with Krysta Paffrath. During our conversation, we discussed the challenges I’ve faced and how overcoming them has given me the strength to be where I am today. It was a powerful discussion about embracing growth and truly 'going big' in every area of life.
