Good and bad leaders and managers. Working hard doesn't have to burn you or your teams out. There's a better way to work to get more out of your team for your clients/customers.
Leaders for today and tomorrow need to be these 3 things: trauma-informed, empathy-led, and accountability-driven. Leadership and management are skills and capabilities you need to learn and cultivate. I like to say you don't get to put a CEO/Boss hat on and suddenly know how to lead people or manage resources well.
After working in Corporate and Non-profit businesses, I discovered that the absence of good and experienced leadership and management skills was lacking in every type of organization I worked with. Corporate America wasn't designed for women and people of color to succeed. Bad habits and behaviors have been modeled by generations of men and women who perpetuated unconscious biases or blatant sexism in the workplace because that is how it has always been. I want to help change that.
