Biography

My work centers on a comprehensive view of healthcare, one that goes beyond clinical treatment to addressing the social factors that drive and determine whether people thrive or merely get by.

Decades of leading data-driven population health initiatives has taught me this: the interventions that create lasting change happen where healthcare meets social care. At Unite Us, I don’t just advocate for addressing health-related social needs like access to affordable and stable housing, nutritious foods, reliable transportation, and personal safety, I prove their financial and social value, quantifying how these fundamental resources transform health outcomes at scale.

My work spans the entire ecosystem, from guiding cross-sector investments to helping communities scale interventions that actually move the needle on population health outcomes.

As a sought-after global advisor and speaker, I shape policy conversations and strategic initiatives across continents, helping governments, health systems, and organizations navigate the complex landscape of population health transformation. My speaking engagements span from boardroom strategy sessions to major conferences, where I share cutting-edge insights on population health, behavioral health, and scaling social care solutions and measuring their real-world impact. What drives me isn't just the scale, it's proving that when we address health-related social needs systematically, we don't just improve individual outcomes; we transform entire communities.

Dr. Ahmadi-Montecalvo is also a part-time faculty at Milken Institute School of Public Health at George Washing University where she teaches public health courses. She holds a Master’s of Public Health with a focus in Epidemiology and Community Health from Brown University, and a PhD in Social and Behavioral Sciences from West Virginia University, School of Public Health.
