Biography

As a professional speaker and presentation skills trainer with a background in stand-up comedy, Lauren connects ideas and audiences with warmth and wit.

She is the Founder and CEO of Ansley Corporate Entertainment, where she's proudly earned Employee of the Month every month since launching the company in 2019. She credits this success to hard work, dedication, and being the only employee.

Lauren works with organizations to "de-borify" their meetings, conferences and presentations. She brings charisma, professionalism, and a touch of humor to every audience.

Passion

I love working with meeting and event professionals to infuse more connection and engagement into their conferences. I help people connect through laughter and prove that you can have fun at work and still be taken seriously.

Best Story

I got my start on stage by taking a stand-up comedy class. The first joke I wrote was an introduction for the emcee to give as he brought me to the stage:
"Our next performer coming to the stage has been busy planning her wedding. She's registered at Target, Belk and Match.com!"

It was the best night of my life! The very next time I performed was at an open mic where no one laughed, I was super embarrassed and I quit stand-up comedy. For three years. During those three years, I went back to school, got my MBA, fell in love, got engaged. I'm kidding. None of that happened. I was just sad for three years.

Eventually I found myself back on stage, and I haven't given up since. And what I've learned is that success isn't a straight line. Sometimes it's not even a complete line - it has dashes and dots, but the important thing is to keep going.

Origin Story

I discovered my passion later in life (mid-30s). I never envisioned owning my own business, and here I am on stages making people laugh and feeling connected with each other. When I discovered the rush of making others laugh and feel that moment of true happiness, I was hooked. And now I want to inspire others while also entertaining them and connecting crowds. It's what keeps me going.
