Anna is a founding partner of The Hired Pens, an award-winning copywriting agency that serves clients across multiple sectors, from higher ed to healthcare. Since 2018, Anna has also produced TEDxPortsmouth, one of the largest and most successful TEDx events in the country. The speakers she's worked with have been recognized across TED platforms and around the world.
Her success (and delight in doing this work!) has inspired The Hired Pens to create an offshoot of its business, dedicated to helping TEDx speakers — and those who wish to deliver TED-style presentations — craft the talk of a lifetime.
Anna holds an M.A. in nonfiction writing from the University of New Hampshire and a B.A. from Colby College. She lives in Portsmouth, New Hampshire, with her husband and two sons.

* Presentation tips from the TED stage for business leaders
* How to find and shape your talk for any audience
* How to write and deliver a standout TEDx Talk
Anna graduated from college with a degree in art and no marketable skills. Her career began unceremoniously as "the towel girl" at a swanky health club. When a member hired her away to write telemarketing scripts for IQ-enhancing gum (“Chew more, study less!!) she found her true passion: derailing students. Just kidding—writing! Today she uses her power for good, producing one of the most successful TEDx events in the country and helping TEDx speakers and business leaders find and shape their "big ideas" for any talk, presentation, or stage.
