Best Story

Storytelling is the main conduit I employ to reach my audience where they are and bring them with me on our journey together. Whether it be accidentally landing my “dream job” right out of college, delivering a baby in Malawi, eating humble pie (metaphorically) in Tanzania, swimming next to Olympians Michael Phelps and Jason Lezak, performing 34 acts of service around-the-world in my 34th year of life, completing Ironman, or other day-to-day interaction large or small, I artfully weave stories into the rhetoric based on the audience, theme, and goals.

Origin Story

My journey has been a winding road through multiple professional disciplines including government, sports/entertainment, marketing, sales, and non-profit. I have seized opportunities resulting in unique life experiences such as:

• Launching 34tunate - a volunteer global giving adventure - traveling as a solo, female performing 34 acts of service around the world in her 34th year of life
• Working at Ironman Hawaii and being inspired to complete 2 full Ironman
• Walking arena halls with the NBA’s best athletes
• Mickey Mouse being her boss
• Sharing Aloha while managing world renowned surf competitions on Oahu’s North Shore
• Swimming laps between Olympians Michael Phelps & Jason Lezak
• Speaking at Google New York and on a Royal Caribbean cruise ship
Toward the end of my “in-house” professional journey, A post-it note hung on my computer monitor that said, “I come to work to uplift and empower.” As the days ticked by, I began to wonder, “If that’s my ‘why,’ why am I not doing that full time and casting a wider net. Now, as a corporate speaker and trainer, I get to live my ‘why’ every, single day and watch people strengthen, or move closer to, theirs as well.
