From Donuts to Dollars! When I first launched my business, I hustled more than anyone ever could. I spent thousands of dollars on donuts, delivering them door to door, praying someone would give me a chance. Even with the lure of sweet treats, I was continually met with "no," "not at this time," or simply radio silence. It wasn't until I applied to speak at a state conference that I discovered the power of speaking to grow a business. After one stage, I sealed over $80,000 in contracts. I no longer had to chase potential clients down. Instead, they were coming to me. So I ditched the donuts, honed my craft as a speaker, and now I teach business owners to do the same.
