In March 2003, Bianca Wise wrote a sticky note to herself. The note was scribbled with
the words "I will be promoted to lieutenant within 10 years". She placed the note in her
locker at Baltimore County Fire Department and it was a statement she looked at every
single day. With her vision, intentional thoughts, and elevation of mindset, it took
Bianca only 9 years to achieve this goal. The first African American Woman to achieve
such status in a world predominantly overpowered with white males. But this was not
the end of her story, or even the beginning.
Born and raised in Baltimore City, in a single parent family, Bianca had an imagination
that would often catapult her into a magical world of unicorns and fairies. A world she
created and believed, and one her mom never put a limit on. Being brought up with the
freedom to imagine, with no limitations, were the foundations of a successful business
woman, and the beginnings of The Mindset Snob.
I love to help intra/entrepreneurs get their minds RIPE for success by guiding them to their transformative power.
Becoming the 1st black woman promoted to the rank of Lieutenant for a metropolitan fire department was a trailblazer moment and also a painful lesson for me to recognize I was not walking in my full purpose.
